Maximum Rock'n'Roll says Baby Tears is "catchy and have musical merit"
The rest of the review can be interpreted however you wish.
Baby Tears-"Homeless Corpse / She Sells Eggs"
"Baby Tears hail from that ubiquitous world of lo fi, Goner Records-type of trashy punk that seems to dominate the music scene these days. Maybe I shouldn't be so dismissive, since these two tracks are pretty catchy and have musical merit, but I just cant (get?) over the fact that there are a thousand bands that sound exactly like this right now. Fans of damaged basement rock will dig this, I'm sure." (BG) (Bob Goldie)

Yellow Green Red likes the new Baby Tears 7"
"...I like both cuts, and would imagine Baby Tears are one of the more exciting acts stomping around Omaha. If I was stuck there, I’d want to make music that sounds like this too."
