RUSTY YEARS RELEASE SHOW THIS SUNDAY AND 1ST LP REVIEW
Hide your beers and lose your fears, it’s Baby Tears with Rusty Years! I thought their 7″ from a few months ago was cool, and this new album expands on that nicely, tapping a keg of dirty, maniacal punk rock and letting it flow. Reminds me a whole lot of TV Ghost, in the way that the bass and drums drive the music and the guitarist and vocalist just kinda cackle and scream over top. Maybe a touch of Mukilteo Fairies when they really get wound up, and as I’m pretty sure these guys were buds with Excelsior back in the day, so maybe a touch of their riff-rock splendor, too? I’ll be honest, I couldn’t figure out if this was a 45 or 33 for a while (neither sounded quite “right”), but I have confirmed it’s a 33, meaning the music is actually burly and grizzled instead of sounding like Crazy Spirit. If any songs in particular really blew my mind, I’d tell you to race out and pick up a copy, but as it’s really just a good sound, my recommendation stays at the “check them out when they come to your town” level. Rusty Years Release Date set for August 21st, New Video for Hypochondriac Wetdream
Doom Town Records, in cooperation with Rainy Road Records, will be releasing Baby Tears' first full-length LP, Rusty Years on August 21st. All preorders will be shipped on that day. There is a release show planned for Sunday, October 7th at Barley Street Tavern. We will have more details on that in the near-future. For now, hurry up and order your copy of Rusty Years HERE
Baby Tears just finished producing a video for the song Hypochondriac Wetdream from Rusty Years. The video was filmed in a sweltering hot garage (100+ degrees). Enjoy.

SHOW THIS SUNDAY + SCREEN PRINTING ACTION SHOTS
We have a sweet show coming up this Sunday, July 29th. The show starts at 9pm, and we will probably play around the same time that Breaking Bad is on, so set those VCRs. I know I will.

Last Saturday afternoon, we printed the LP covers for our full-length "Rusty Years"(test pressing arrived today). Jacobo's chips and salsa were grazed upon, cans of Mexican beer were guzzled, and 200+ record covers were screen-printed. Printing soundtrack standouts include the new Crazy Spirit album and Cranford Nix Jr. It was a pretty sweet afternoon, and only got sweeter as we moved into the night with dinner and XXX drinks at Mt. Fuji Inn. Here we are at work:

In Baby Tears news, the LP is at the press now. We'll be announcing a release date soon. In the meantime you can pre-order it HERE. So what have we been up to lately? We just got done filming a video for Hypochondriac Wetdream that's now being edited by yours truly. We're also getting ready to record another set of songs, what we'll do with them is yet to be determined. We also have some rad shows coming up, but we're only gonna let you know about them one at a time.
