Last Saturday afternoon, we printed the LP covers for our full-length "Rusty Years"(test pressing arrived today). Jacobo's chips and salsa were grazed upon, cans of Mexican beer were guzzled, and 200+ record covers were screen-printed. Printing soundtrack standouts include the new Crazy Spirit album and Cranford Nix Jr. It was a pretty sweet afternoon, and only got sweeter as we moved into the night with dinner and XXX drinks at Mt. Fuji Inn. Here we are at work:

In Baby Tears news, the LP is at the press now.  We'll be announcing a release date soon.  In the meantime you can pre-order it HERE.  So what have we been up to lately?  We just got done filming a video for Hypochondriac Wetdream that's now being edited by yours truly.  We're also getting ready to record another set of songs, what we'll do with them is yet to be determined.  We also have some rad shows coming up, but we're only gonna let you know about them one at a time.  Next one is coming up in a few weeks, Sunday 7/29 at the Waiting Room with STNNNG, Birthday Suits, and Noah's Ark Was A Spaceship.  We never play there and we may never again so until next week...

Self-titled: 7” single
Trashy, fuzzed-out, and distorted garage gnarl. The first song, “Homeless Corpse,” is a jumpy and noisy fucking tune. Drums are hammered, guitars are throttled, the singer proclaims that he “don’t like it!” and a haze of feedback hangs in the air. But it’s the song on the second side, “She Sells Eggs,” that keeps this on the record player a bit longer. The drums are punchy and chunky; the bass that comes in with its thick and turgid sound is what makes this one a winner. The riffs are close to pummeling, but never beating you over the head. Rusty Years LP is now available for pre-order

We bet some of you are wondering what ever happened to our new LP, Rusty Years. It has been available free digitally for some time now. Was the decision to put Rusty Years online for free something similar to "going straight to VHS"? That is not the case. It has been a little over a year since the album was recorded, and we are now pleased to announce that Rusty Years will be released on vinyl in the late spring/early summer of 2012, courtesy of Rainy Road Records. Includes screen-printed cover, black vinyl, and photocopied insert. Limited to 200 copies.

"Baby Tears hail from that ubiquitous world of lo fi, Goner Records-type of trashy punk that seems to dominate the music scene these days. Maybe I shouldn't be so dismissive, since these two tracks are pretty catchy and have musical merit, but I just cant (get?) over the fact that there are a thousand bands that sound exactly like this right now.
